ChSE Student Mark Madura wins Poster Presentation

ChSE student Mark Madura won as part of the 2007/2008 Taste of Research Poster Presentation program. Prizes were awarded to the best Poster Presentation in the Faculty's three research themes:
  • Fundamental and Enabling Research
  • Resources and Infrastructure for the Future
  • The Digital Future
Mark's poster entitled "Structural Impact of Bleach Cleaning on Membranes" was supervised by Vera Puspitasari, Pierre Le-Clech, and Vicki Chen from the UNESCO Centre for Membrane Science and Technology. The project had a research theme of "Resources and Infrastructure for the Future".

The entire poster can be viewed here.

Over ten weeks these 2nd and 3rd year students (from both UNSW and other Australian universities) have joined a research team within the Faculty of Engineering to undertake a project within one of the Faculty's three Research Themes of "Fundamental and Enabling Research", "Resources and Infrastructure for the Future", and "The Digital Future".

The posters of thirteen students were shortlisted with those students invited to provide a two-minute overview of their poster and the work completed over the Summer.

The winners were announced on the night by the Associate Dean, Dr David Clements, and presented with the $100 book voucher by Dr Terry Percival (Managing Laboratory Director NICTA).
