Johannes van Hensbergen has received the RACI Western Sydney Section Honours Prize for 2009. The judges thought that his Honours thesis “Synthesis and Characterisation of Grubbs Catalyst Metathesis Polymers”, was comprehensive and a wonderful matching of chemistry theory, laboratory practice and industrial use. At the presentation evening on 19 May 2009, Johann presented a short talk on his work, after which he received $200 as well as free membership to the Royal Australian Chemical Institute for one year.
