3040 BE in Chemical Engineering
This program extends over four years and students study full-time during the day for twenty-eight weeks of each year (excluding examination and recess periods).
Successful completion of the BE degree program is accepted by the Institution of Chemical Engineers, the Institution of Engineers, Australia, and Royal Australian Chemical Institute as sufficient academic qualification for corporate membership.
The Director of Teaching and Learning may approve various program patterns involving full-time or part-time study.
This program can form part of combined degrees with BE (Chem Eng) BSc (Comp Sci), BE (Chem Eng) BCom and BE (Chem Eng) MBiomedE, BE (Chem Eng) BA and also BE MEngSc. See below for more details or contact Director of Teaching and Learning.
Program Structure
Student must satisfy the core requirements for Engineering, Chemical Engineering and General Education. Subjects and electives may be modified to optimise the students selection of courses. While some courses are given twice a year, many courses are given only in one session and have pre-requisite and exclusions. Students should plan their enrolments and timetables appropriately.

Option 2 - Students who take this option will have fewer professional elective available in 3rd and 4th years as they take only one of the recommended electives (materials/Chem or chem. 1A or chem. 1C and use two electives choice in first year for non-core Chemical engineering/ Industrial Chemistry courses).
General Education requirement for both the options are 12 units of Credit ( UOC )
